The seminar is appropriate for both Family Law and Immigration Attorneys. Topics covered include immigration status available for victims of a crime, especially victims of domestic violence related crimes.
Also included : How to get the help of law enforcement • How to show substantial harm in order to get U-status • How to help indirect victims and survivors • How to help a victim spouse or a child of a United States Citizen or lawful permanent resident get status without the help of the abuser • How to help victims of domestic violence with immigration applications when they are married to Cuban or Haitians eligible under the Haitian Refugee Immigrant Fairness Act (HRIFA).

Application has been made for 3.5 general CLE hours.
All proceeds support the work of Gulfcoast Legal Services, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization providing assistance to low income victims of domestic violence with family law and immigration problems.
